This is a 1955 airstream from the California plant. It became a total body off restoration including, new frame, axle, tankage, subfloor, etc....
Once put back together we began the work of building this airstream into a functioning bar.
The gull wing is a 7' opening with a custom welded Z frame surrounding the door.
Looking on the floor you'll see a floor drain plumbed to a holding tank. This way the floors can be washed down at the end of a shift with the water disposed of properly.
Custom oak radius bench concealing an onan 5.5kw silent generator. AC and DC systems are also hidden beneath the bench.
Etched logo plates give a nice detail. No vinyl here
A live edge oak bar top was built to saddle over the opening and match the interior furniture.
1/4" Diamond plate floors with custom plate fenders
It's hard to see the pex. We've routed hot and cold systems under the floor with no joints to avoid leaking. They are then wrapped in armorflex before the insulation and belly pans were installed. By doing this we avoided having exposed plumbing for a clean install.
Enlarged gray water holding tanks built in for easy access and serviceability.
Painted chassis with marine plywood for sub-flooring. The aluminum panels are where the grey water tanks will rest. All of the straps for the tanks have welded nuts to the frame for long term service.
